Most long-term care is used to assist people with support services such as Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s) like dressing, bathing, cooking, transferring and using the bathroom.

All Tax-Qualified LTCI policies will trigger, when you need assistance with 2 of 6 ADL’s or have a cognitive impairment. ADLs are things we mostly take for granted in our younger, healthier years. When you wake up in the morning and hop out of bed, shower and get dressed and eat breakfast, … you are doing (4) ADLs.
